Our client is a Multinational coal mining company operates in Kalimantan areas is urgently looking for a candidate to fill the position of :


Safety Officer
Work Location: Kalimantan Area (Contract based)

Requirements:

• Preferably the holder of Tertiary qualifications for occupational health and safety or the holder of a recognised training certificate as Safety Officer.
• Have a minimum 5 years working experience in a project environment in in a HSECS roll. Working experience in mining industry environment would be an advantage.
• Preferably hold a Mines Department supervisory certificate (POP or better)
• Be the holder of a current First Aid certificate
• Have a working knowledge of contract administration and project management.
• Have good communication and people skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Have high personal energy level and enthusiasm to work in a dynamic project environment.
• Have attended Leadership and Management training courses.
• Possess report writing and computing skills with a high level of computer literacy.
• Possess a drivers license.

Key Roles:

• Undertake supervision and monitoring of the Contractor.
• Develop the management plans for the project and ensure compliance with Company/ International & local standards or codes.
• Review the management plans of the Contractor for conformation to Company/ international and or local standards or codes.
• Prepare HSECS specifications and documents for use in the tendering processes.
• Expert evaluation of tenders/ proposals on related HSECS issues.
• Monitor/ supervise project construction.
• Carry-out contract administration and project control relating to HSECS.
• Conduct inductions, inspections and related meetings.
• Conduct related inspections of Contractor equipment, systems and processes as specified by the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Compile reports for follow up action to be done by the Contractor or his Subcontractors.
• Lead incidient investigations and reporting.
• Monitor and provide up to date statistics.
• Follow the company occupational health, safety, environment, community and security systems.
