New Product Development (NPD) Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with suppliers, product marketing, quality, engineering and manufacturing to successfully meet assigned project objectives.
  • Lead cross functional program team/s responsible for development of new products
  • Provide day-to-day coordination, monitor product performance and coordinate resolution of issues.
  • Ensure that product requirements, project and business goals are met.
  • Assess and manage program risks and budget as well as define and ensure adherence to project schedule. Work with Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Marketing and customers to define product specifications and functions.
  • Create and manage product development schedules, issues, and process requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct customer input programs, customer needs analysis, customer profile development and customer summaries.
  • Work closely with outside development teams to resolve technical problems and devise new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Manage and direct and Development Department, coach engineers, manage performance, develop and implement standard operating procedures for department.
  • Ensure clear communication channels within Development Team and cross-functional departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering / other Engineering
  • 5-10 years experience in new product development, 2+ years of supervisor experience.
  • Experience in the engineering disciplines of mechanical engineering, system engineering, software engineering and electrical engineering.
  • Must be familiar with functions of Manufacturing, Product Management, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Procurement.
  • Good knowledge in product design and verification techniques
  • Experience gathering customer input and developing needs analysis.
  • Hands on approach and ability to work with CAD such as CATIA V5 , Pro-Eng or other.
  • Excellent verbal and written English in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • A team player and able to build internal and external relationship
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • Able to work in Lobam, Bintan, Kepulauan Riau
Technical Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Project Management for New Product Development (NPD)
    - Mechanical / Systems design
    - Certification / Regulatory compliance
    - Accountable for Quality/Reliability/Results/Certification Achieved On Time/Budget/Schedule
  • Lead Engineer
    - Regulatory Compliance
    - Publication / Sign-Off of technical specifications
    - Participation in Industry Associations as required / assigned
    - Other technical duties as assigned
    - Be trained, gain and maintain Industry Accreditation Status
    - Development and implementation of Test Protocols and Procedures
  • Technical Service
    - 2nd Line of support for complex cases
    - Provide input into serviceability
    - Training support
    - Development and continuous improvement of training materials, complex service bulletins
    - Review manuals
  • Quality / Change Management / Continuous Improvement
    - Form and lead cross functional teams
  • Working cross functionally / across disciplines to facilitate the above
    - Always strive to improve Quality
    - Always strive to build / design In Quality
    - Facilitate culture change on the shop floor
    - Always strive to improve the products / innovation
    - Work cross functionally with Product Management, Business Development, etc.
    - Work cross functionality with Sales / Service engineers located at Esco subsidiaries internationally

    - Manufacturing Engineering
    - Electrical Regulatory Compliance
    - Greater Accountability for Product Cost
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years New Product Development (NPD) Project Management experience with 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Able to work cross functionally and across disciplines
  • Excellent verbal and written English in a cross-cultural environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to manage a team to be accountable for Outcome/Quality/Cost/Schedule
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • Able to work in Lobam, Bintan, Kepulauan Riau
Technical Service Manager
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the productivity of independent field service technicians by ensuring proper training in the skills and knowledge to perform field diagnostics
  • Interact with field personnel in the repair of Esco Products
  • Investigate and report field product performance issues
  • Increase product reliability through the creation of corrective action plans involving cross-functional teams from Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Product Management and the field organization
  • Develop and distribute product information and service bulletins to the field
  • Ensure that the organization follows all the guidelines and policies regarding service and installation guidelines
  • Assign internal service personnel to perform field response on critical installations and modify department priorities when changes are necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Engineering or related fields
  • At least 5 years experience with 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Previous experience managing field service personnel in a manufacturing environment of installed products
  • Demonstrated organization and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface with all levels of management and service providers
  • Demonstrated customer-oriented attitude and successful customer service track record
  • Able to Work Cross Functionally and Across Disciplines
  • Ability to process information and analyze to make appropriate recommendations
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Able to work in Lobam, Bintan, Kepulauan Riau
